About the Meditations

Q: What is guided meditation?

A: Meditation is a mental discipline by which one attempts to get beyond the reflexive, "thinking" mind into a deeper state of relaxation or awareness.

Guided meditation is a journey into you.  A guide for meditation is similar to a guide at a museum. It can help you learn more and have a richer experience. Guided meditation helps you discover places you might not know exist. It gives you more tools for enhancing your spiritual development. Guided meditation is a very personal way to discover more about yourself. And all you have to do is enjoy the journey.

Q. Who can use guided meditations?

A. Anyone can use guided meditations, regardless of age or life stage. Children are naturally good at visualizations; the earlier they start with meditations, the easier their lives will be.

Q. What can I expect to learn from these CD's?

A. You can expect to learn to release blocks that keep you from going forward on your life path. You will learn how to stay grounded and neutral in any situation. You will learn to get what you want with ease. You will learn to be the person you want to be, not who others want you to be. You will find more peace and harmony. Many people report that they are able to deal with stress, investigate their feelings, let go of the things that used to bother them and so much more. The possibilities are endless and uplifting.

Q. How do I use the guided meditations?

A. Using the meditations is super easy. You simply download them onto your MP3 player or pop in a CD, then sit down, relax, close your eyes, and let the meditations guide you to a new level of peace and harmony.

Q. When I listen to the meditations I feel a little like Jello after 10 minutes or so and find myself fading out or dozing off. What should I do?

A. Even when you fade out, your subconscious mind continues to listen and learn. You will get used to keeping your mind awake. After a few times of listening it will be easier to concentrate on your mind staying alert and just your body relaxing.

Q. I find visualization to be a little difficult. How can I get better at visualizing?

A.  Keep in mind that visualizing does not mean you will necessarily “see” what you are “looking at.” For many people, including me, this visualization is more of a feeling versus an actual picture. Just trust your awareness to help you know what you are seeing and trust it is correct. The more you do this the easier it gets.

Using The Tools

Q. Using these meditations is great and really helping me make my day more balanced, but what can I do during my regular daily activities when something happens to push my buttons, like a grumpy boss, other bad drivers, my kid having a temper tantrum in public, etc.?

A. I like to use two different strategies:
First, whenever you come across an uncomfortable situation, mentally imagine that you are handing golden roses to the person causing the issue. Gold is a high vibration and when we hand someone anything with gold on it, it helps them raise their vibration and become more aware of how they are affecting the people around them. Roses are a generic symbol of love, friendship and peace, so we use roses.
Second, you can also create a rose, put the person and situation in the rose, and destroy the rose. This helps you move the judgment off the situation, helping it not to push your buttons, helping you to be neutral to what ever is going on.

Q. Sometimes I try these two techniques you describe and I think I am calm and then the situation gets stirred up a few minutes later and I get really upset. What am I doing wrong?

A. Nothing is going wrong. You are stirring up an even deeper layer of old emotion that is ready to get released. Repeat what you did before and notice the difference.

Q. Can I send myself down my grounding cord?

A. Yes, you can send yourself down your grounding cord. It is an energetic way to let go of things that are bothering you, it will help you get out of your own way and not be so emotional about things.

Q. Where is the best place to release energy?

A. There is no better place to release energy than where you are at the moment. Practice using these tools in a quiet place so then you can use them effectively anywhere in any situation.

Q. How long does it take to release things that are keeping me from being my true self?

A. It depends on how much of your true self is buried and how much effort you put into releasing and refilling with golden suns. Almost everyone's true self is affected by programming from outside sources, such as: Taking care of your family is your job; You are the responsible one; You are just like your mom/dad, etc. If you currently live in a controlling environment, or you grew up in a very controlling home, then it will take longer to get the old programming off, versus if you are/were surrounded by less controlling people. Programming does not necessarily only come from your childhood or your significant other currently. You could "lose" your true self by if you worked for a long time with a particularly controlling boss, for example.

Q. Why is golden sun important?

A. As you release old unneeded energy and programming, you open up spaces that need to be refilled. If you don’t put something good in the spaces, like golden sun, it is easy to bring back the old negative stuff that you got rid of.
